Track Times!!!! I know Many posts Already
Ok I know that there are many posts out there with track times, But I ran my car today at the race track starting at 10:30 am with the temp at about 79 degrees and I just couldn't get it to do better than 15.5 sec. at 90.50 Mph. Stock they say this car should do 14.4 sec. at 96.5 Mph.
What am I doing wrong? I had a Nissan 350Z and Got it to do 14.09 sec. stock and with intake and exhaust to do it at 13.8sec.
I know how to shift very well and I cannot figure it out. Please let me know your track times and what speeds you are doing it at? Alot of people are asking if the car is running right and I say it is perfect.
Also can anyone tell me what to launch the RPM's at and DSC on or off?
I appreciate it

The RX-8 is one of those cars that never seems to be as fast in the owners hands as it is for the mags. Many of the early tests where the mid 14s happened were done with a pre-production car before the made the car run richer which might explain some of it. However,I believe there were some later tests where the RX-8 managed mid 14s as well. Seems for owners of the car if you can break into the 14s you're doing better than most.
Keep all traction control and DSC off, try launching anywhere from 6000-8000 RPMs depending on track conditions, and take every gear to redline or close.
