Towing & Resale Value Questions
as some may know i am pondering the idea of buying a new 2008 RX-8. i was wondering about a couple of issues.
first, regarding towing. i live about 75 miles from the two closest dealers (evansville and owensboro) and if the RX-8 ever breaks down under warranty i assume the dealer would come and get it, tow it in for me, free of charge - correct?
second, once the problem would be fixed, i assume the dealer does NOT return the RX-8 to me, that i would be responsible for going and picking it up, correct?
third, was wondering if the RX-8 is good as far as being able to sell a used one goes? what if after 4 years and 40,000 miles i decide to sell, would my odds be good that i could sell it? and get a fair price for it? seems like this car has some reliability issues, just wondering about resale possibilities.
thanks for any help,
Mike

Yes, towing is free to the closest Mazda store
Yes, you have to pick it up once it is finished
I was just offered exactly what I paid for my car almost 2 years ago . . . resale is GREAT!!!

to the OP, check edmunds.com for resale values on the car. many people are not getting it b/c supply is so high and demand is low.

Of ALL of the things to think about when buying a NEW car, that would be the furthest from my mind (and doesn't every new car maker offer about the same 1-800 number auto club plan under the new car warranty).
I would suggest that instead of an RX-8, that you buy a NEW Bentley. I hear their dealer service is better than Mazda's.
Edit: On second thought, I should've gone with the "pies" answer, instead.
