When I bought my 8 I purchased GAP insurance for $500.00. If my insurance company totals my car, naturally for less than I owe, this gap insurance pays the difference. I thought it was worth it. Especially since I love to drive a little reckless since I got my 8.

I've already purchased another 8... 
I got one used so that I could save some money this time around, and got a great deal from a buyer in Houston. (see Buy/Trade forum)
Should be driving it early July. Im currently looking for a good local driving/racing school to attend to learn the car a little better.

Just some corrections. Gap insurrance is only on leased vehicals.
My RX8 has every option unders the sun, it it was only 33k. The dealer jacked your pricing and you won't recoup that loss.
What are you going to get now? I hope you will get another 8.
