Same experience. I think it slowed the most after 139. Never went to 6th gear and was at about 8750ish rpm. Greddy Sp and MS CAI only mods.

262km/h = 162.8mph with GPS

Got a little more to go but the roads are not made for these speeds and my 8 gets a little nervouse at those speeds (me too).

200whp @ rototest if I remember correct.

Rototest is a bit conservative, a SUN would probably give ~210whp I guess.

My Project thread (only in swedish but you see what a Rototest is on the pictures)

My speedo showed 276km/h when my GPS showed 262km/h, but I don't run on OEM tires.

^there is NO governor on the MTs....the only reason we stop there is due to drag...

hah ya definitely no governor. One way to tell the validity of the claim is comments like "ya it hit the governor at 148 and went down to 110 real fast..." Haha ya right the governor kicked you back 38 MPH!!

I got up to almost 150 or so but ran out of straight. I also realized later that I had unknowingly left on the AC unit. That could have slowed me a mile per hour or two.

Id like to see a turbo8 run the salt flats wonder if drag would keep it from hitting theoretical 189mph

I couldn't get past 138 mph

The front end got a bit light at this speed. I would like more downforce on the front. My car is stock.

Just curious ... what kind of gas mileage do you get at 148 mph haha ?

JDM spec - stock except for AP calibration (more BHP & Tq) and no limiter gets 160+ FACT!

With regard to speedo, that figure is a very good estimation made from the revolutions of the wheels. GPS can tell you exactly what speed you're doing.

I also quit at 135 one time due to the same thing. My car is now lowered and that should help keep air from getting underneath and causing lift.
