Just wondering what fast you all have gone so far.

I have done 108mph, and still had plenty of room to go faster.

Reached that speed on a backroad that has a fairly straight segment, that I am also confident about the lack of police. It's not that long though, and both ends of the straight end in severe turns.

I don't mean to be rude... well, actually yes I do. This is the 4th thread on this exact subject in the past week or so. SEARCH before starting a new thread. Try "top + speed"

 

I got the point from the two posts before you. Other than your need to say it again, there has been no activity in this thread.


Now, I really don't want to be rude, but, let it go people. If it's soooo bothersome, request that a moderator remove it.

And before you go off on why it's so bothersome, don't, cuz I get it. Too much clutter. Most of the time I do a search, this time, I just didn't. Please accept my apologies...

 

I went 225 km p.h. last monday, didn't dare to go faster, it was getting dark and I only had my 8 for five days.
Sorry, I've no idea howmany MPH that is.

 

I hit 147mph, and everything started to go black....I woke up on the side of the road with all my clothes on backwards and a strange aching in my sinuses. What could it mean?

forgot to add i had mine up to 135

 

i blipped up to 135mph the other day, the best part was that it was smooth and stable the whole way up to 135, but i didnt want to keep pushing, it was daylight and police were around

 

Thanks for that. I don't mind too much. I understand how people start to feel like it's "their house".

Anyway, I think that I need to find a long straight road and push a little harder.

Worried about a 135mph in a 55 zone ticket looks like though. That, I just don't need.

 

Not sure actually... how fast you think I would have gone from a 500 ft cliff? Oh wait you said in the Rx-8 nm.

And VolareRX8, after you're here for a while I can't wait to see one of your posts instructing a newbie to do a search. Like after the 50th time in a month you see someone post some crap like your priceless thread asking what the 0-60 time of the 8 is.

 

no worries PW. Like I said, I get it. My reaction was this:

First person gives me a link, that was very polite, and enough.

Second and third people were less polite, and in caps no less.

Keep in mind that doing a search works really well when searching for facts, not so well when searching for advice, or opinion.

Keep in mind also that doing a search will often return many threads, and searching through them can be a real drag. And yes, I see that there are advanced search options.

All that said, doing a search for Top Speed would have been prudent on my part.

Anyway, no harm, no foul. I may be a new member here, but not a rookie at discussion boards in general. It always takes a while to get the feel of the community though.

I am over it, and moving on. Maybe I will start a new thread on how fast the 8 can go from 0 to 60
