Today, I parted with my RX-8, along with my 2001 Miata SE and a 2000 BMW 323ci. My wife was hell bent on moving into a much smaller house and buying a fancy SUV for her to drive. I'd lose my garages and decided to give up the cars since two was the most we'd be able to keep. She got her SUV and I began the painful process of downsizing. I traded all of those cars plus a bit of cash for a Lincoln MKT.

I bought the RX-8 in 2010 and had a blast with it. I didn't drive it that much, but each time was a treat. I'll remember that car very fondly. The only repair over that time was the replacing coils. It didn't require more than the usual maintenance.

She promises that I'll get "double and triple humped" in the future to show her appreciation. Mixed emotions indeed...

 

Divorce in 3... 2...

My wife knows better than to mess with me and my 8! She's been trying to get me to get rid of my '03 Nissan Frontier but it's been paid off for years now and it's still running like a champ.

She told me we couldn't afford beer anymore and I'd have to quit.
Then I caught her spending $65 on makeup and $160.00 on a hairdo.
So I asked her how come I had to give up stuff and she didn't.
She said she needed the makeup and hairdo to look pretty for me.
I told her that was what the beer was for.
I don't think she's coming back.
