They towed my car!!! NO!

Ok they towed my car last night at my apartment complex because I didnt have my parking permit up but I had it all the time in the car. That said I doubt they towed my car on the flatbed so how bad was this to my car. Oh they managed to scratched the bottom part of my MS bumper and I never bottom out my 8 before ******* ********!!! I had to pay $114 to get my car at the towing place.

Didn't you ask what type of tow truck they used? it should say on the tow slip. I always get one that has a pic of a car and they mark down all the scratches and stuff so you can't blame them, even though, they could just add it after. Anyhow, it should say on that, if you got one. I doubt very much they dragged you around on the rear wheels in gear. Expensive lesson, I learn it a few times a year, well, I guess I don't learn it.

I'm sure they didn't drag it because they are liable for damages. If its a rwd car then they would dolly the rear if it wasn't a flatbed.

yep, and if I remember right, you're Navy? Allude to the 'fact' that you can bring the unlimited resources of Navy Legal with you, and make the apartment people pay the bill . There's no reason they couldn't have pulled your plates up and figured out you live there. It's not like your car is common-place or anything. If the car is damaged, go after the tow company and the apartment people.

Oh yeah I told them that they scratched the front bumper and they said oh you should have complained before you picked up the car. Im thinking ok yeah complain and you would have said well we didnt do it its basically my words against theirs. I wonder if the security people asked to get my car towed cuz one guy talked to me about how my car keeps going off. Imma grab myself a brick and just drop it on their heads from the 17th floor.

Honestly, I'd just leave it alone. Yes, the Navy will work for you if you're really in the right, but in this case, the burden was on you to display the permit- it wasn't on them to go digging around looking for it or verifying your car belonged there. For all they know, even if they DID run your plates, you could have just moved and not updated your address and were trying to ge away with parking somewhere you shouldn't. If you start trying to pull strings like this, you could **** off someone higher up and that's really not the kind of attention you want. Not being mean, but you should probably just chalk it up as a learning experience.

Ahh, but that's the trick. The Navy won't actually help much at all. Just in an advisory capacity. But they don't know that. But you're probably right about it not doing much good. But it might be worth a shot.

Hey get the name of the manager or the *** that towed your car. Then get the towing CO. phone number and tow his/her car.
