Angry T-boned and side-swiped!

Last week I was side-swiped in a parking lot by a guy who ran a stop sign. Very low-speed collision, but significant damage to my driver's side door, front quarter panel and wheel. Increduously, the guy actually tried to blame me. I called the police immediately and their report clearly places blame on the other guy.

However, before I could even get an estimate from a body shop, my car was hit again this afternoon in my company's parking lot. Car carrier backed into my front end...

Anyone have the name of a good body shop in or near Bergen County, NJ?

OUCH!

How's the insurance company going to work that out? at least you're ok

I hope you can get the car totalled at this rate, it's cursed!

Man, what's ironic is that those slowspeed crashes can do just amazing damage. About 12 years ago, my wife was behind a raised 4x4 pickup who just back into her front end. Problem was that his bumper/hitch was above the front edge of her hood - peeled the hood and fendertops on her Acura back like an opened can. Thankfully, he stopped just as the trailer hitch receiver contacted and broke the windshield, but millimeters before it took out the A-pillars.

Sorry to hear it bud. Good luck with the fixup.

Ouch!! I would expect your car should be totalled!!! Good luck either way. Hopefully your insurance company will push hard for a total loss.

Your car's not silver....is it? Ah the curse!!!

Aaack, how frustrating! Your insurance company rep has got to be eying you funny now. Hopefully, your bad luck is spent and the fix goes smoothly. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

And, of course, it's silver!

Silver? funny, it just adds to my theory that Red cars are safer only because red means "warning" and it's a very visible colour (except to people who are colourblind i suppose). Every car i've owned has been red, and (touch wood) never been involved in any sort of collision with another car.

Ouch, that sounds like the time I was stuck behind someone who was waiting for a spot in a parking lot and some girl backed straight into my door without looking. Best part was, once her parents showed up, she tried to blame me by claiming I was speeding and she didn't see me. Ended up going back and forth for quite a long time before she finally caved and told the truth.
Anyway, I hope your bodywork comes out as well as mine did! You shouldn't have to pay so dearly for someone else's mistake!

Maybe in Oz... but that theory has been disproven in the Northern Hemisphere. The driver following my 8 was obviously colorblind as well as incredibly incompetent. Sorry to bust your bubble!

Viggen, I'm so sorry to hear about your car... but let's hope it's totalled and you come out OK in the end. It sounds like your car is jinxed -- I know mine is!

Insurance will take care of the first accident, car carrier company will take care of the second (they have to, I'm a client)...

Yes, apparently curse of silver!

Love my car, but I wouldn't mind if it was totalled so I could get Velocity Red w/red and black interior...

Unfortunately the numbers won't add up to total it...

I wished my black rx8 was totalled because i fuced up the whole front except the engine. If i totalled the rx8 again then i'll get m3 or corvette next. Now i spend 50k on my car damn not worth it.
