Sunglass holder problem
Hey, just yesterday my sunglass holder got stuck. Luckily I have a panel popper so I just popped it down.
Does anyone have a problem working it in the cold? It's been a lot colder than this and it worked just fine, but I guess maybe the air is more moist? I had it working just fine again, but then a few minutes later it stopped working properly again |
Are you talking about the thing you push up and it folds down to actually put your sunglasses inside of it?
|
yea, sorry thats what I'm talking about, I got an 06 RX8. I'm wondering if I have to replace something or if its just iced up
|
you can actually fit sunglasses inside of that useless compartment? am i missing something here?
|
lol i have a crappy grocery store pair that i bent so that they would fit in there... just in case i ever forget my actual pair :) To answer your question, I personally have never had a problem with it opening or closing.

i keep my dial type tire pressure gauge in there
http://www.trait-tech.com/uploads/de...sure-gauge.jpg havent ever had a problem with it opening |
Mine sticks when it opens. Press in and it opens about 1/2 inch, then have to pull it open the rest of the way. I'll probably get around to tearing it out and diagnosing it someday, but it's a pretty low priority.
I have an '06. |
Mine works fine and holds my aviators perfectly.

I'm sure you chopped yours off or something.
:squint: |
Like the tire pressure gauge, I use it for other things. I can put it else where or use the popper I guess. $175 ain't that bad to replace it, this car is an instant classic and deserves to be restored to factory condition.
