Last week i was commuting to lectures, and managed to hit a Badger at around 50mph the car is aesthetically fine. However i have noticed a rather large dent to the sump, the concave is probably 5mm higher at the centre and it stretches across the majority of the oil pan. im curious as to whether this could cause any significant damage to the engine? the oil pick-up line is at the bottom of the sump iirc and i may be being paranoid but it doesn't seem like my oil has dropped after a 220 mile drive today. but i do check my oil regularly so i could have topped it up just before leaving.
