Suit Hooks??

I was recently going on an overnight business trip with an associate in his rx-8 and wanted to hang my suit up. I was kinda suprised to see that there are no hooks in the rear to hang a suit.

I know its just a little nit pick, but it would be nice.

anyone solve this problem.

and pardon me for the boooooring topic.

...gasp...<blinks eyes>

I think this is one of the stranger topics I've seen buy I guess it's a valid question.

I figure if you could hang a suit up in the back it is going to wrinkle anyway because the car isn't high enough to hang a suit. It would drape across the back seats.

Greese had this concern a while back.. you might do a search to see if he concluded anything.

I didn't follow the thread.. so I don't know.

I once carefully laid my suit jacket in the back seat, it worked for me. But it would be nice to have regular clothes hanger hooks. Probably your best bet is to use a folding wardrobe carrier and put it in the trunk.

edit for spelling. I really wish this forum had spell check.

RX-8 owners don't wear suits

I just drape mine in the back seat or lay it out in the truck if it is in a suite bag. Once I put it around the passenger seatback -- worked pretty well.

Yea I noticed it too when I went to get my suit tailored. And RX-8 owners wear suits, why not?

who says RX-8 owners don't wear suits? *laughing*

I drive a 626 and the "oh ****" handles in the back are GREAT for hanging up my dry cleaning!

Anyone actually install a handle yet?

I guess I'll tackle this issue when I finally do get my RX...

Good luck figuring this one out, I'm interested to see what happens.

Here's an idea I just thought of. You could try using the child seat tether anchors behind the rear seats. Maybe your suit will even drape nicely over the seatback.

I once used the latch to the backseat storage bin to hold my jacket on a wire hanger. If you twist the hanger a bit you can catch it on the bin latch.

Ha! I wish I could commute with my RX-8. It mostly sits and relaxes in my garage until the weekend. That's probably why it only has 3k miles and I've had it for 4 months.

My sister's Mustang doesn't have them either. She always gave me the dry cleaning to hold. But without passengers.. she probably would have just thrown 'em in the back seat. I Think that would work fine too. But I really don't know.
