thanks for your concearns and support.
Your insurance company may not cover things like broken windshield replacement, but this is vandalism and they will/should cover it. What you need is a police report stating that the other guys did it and I bet your insurance company will go after them, though I doubt these morons have insurance.

soooo sorry to hear this happened. what a bunch of losers. id rather move than get them kicked out, cuz they can always come back and torment your property even if they were evicted. maybe you can use that excuse to break your lease.

I think it is funny that everyone is revengeful because it happend with a BB gun,but had this incident been caused by another car door dinging the 8 most would say "suck it up". LOL

A car door breaking his windshield?

A car door hitting your car is a little different than somebody shooting at it. People don't generally maliciously hit another car with their door. People shooting weapons out their window on the other hand......

^^^Can you really call the police for a door ding though? They (police) would probably tell you to "suck it up" too.

You know that damage looks a lot worse than BB gun damage. Are you sure it was a BB gun?

So if the shooting was an accident the owner of the car should pay for it and the shooter can tell him to suck it up. I see how things work now, thanks lol

A lot of people shoot guns from thier windows where you live? I'm sure the guy "accidently" shot multiple holes into his windshield. He was like, "my bad dawg"

or maybe he was trying to protect the 8 by shooting at a bird that was about to shi+ on it but missed the bird

I'm not disputing the degree of how wrong it is. I'm just saying that a person at fault need to pay one way or another for their mistake regardless of how it happened.

Sorry to hear about that juvenile ****.

I would move out before they target you again (no pun intended). Since you called the police on them, I suspect they are going to be really pissed at you now. Im pretty sure the apt complex will let you out of the lease. Good luck.

He's saying it wasn't a mistake and that it was intentional.

I see your point, but the fact that it was intentional makes it malicious and not just an accident.

Isnt' there something in the law called malice aforethought or something? Meaning "with intent" makes the punishment worse?

This is my point. a lot of people think that dinging a door = Zero punishment not less punishment. If I had it my way the guy that shot the car would do time and people that ding cars and run would get charged with hit and run.

Aside from the damage to your car (which is really sad), what really irks me is this: unless you move, you can never be sure of avoiding other problems with these losers. Even if they get booted out of the apartment complex, if you stay, they still know where you (and your car) live.

Yeah, I am still trying to firgure out what I want to do. I filled a complaint with the residentail manager and gave them a call today. They are suppose to call me...

I got an estimate at a dealer. $731.43 for OEM glass. With Labor $921.60.

unbelieveable!
sorry to see and hear about the damage done to your car.
just friday afternoon i was walkingout to my car and saw that 2 guys (early 20's) were fixing a tire or brakes or something on the POS car next to mine. so there was about 2 feet between their clumsy hands holding metal tools and my 8. needless to say i moved my car as soon as i could. one guy started kinda banging at the brake area and looked to come within inches of my passenger door.
