Exclamation Strakes and Accents, which is the superior metal?

As the title says, I'm going to buy my strakes/accents as soon as I get some input. But I'm curious what the pros/cons are between Polished Aluminum, and Stainless Steel...

Thank you for contacting RX8Club.com, our posters are currently busy. You are #45 in line, your estimated wait time is less than 3 hours. Thank you. Your post is very important to us.

(I don't know which is better, sorry)

Aluminum is lighter. Stainless steel won't rust. Aluminum won't rust either. Stainless Steel looks like Stainless. Aluminum looks like aluminum.

What is your definition of better? If it is strictly weight than aluminum is better. If it is for strength and heat tolerance than stainless is better.

What are you looking for in a strake?

I got lucky and bid on a front accent that no one else was bidding on and got it for like $20 brand new. Later I saw a rear that no one was bidding and got it for like $12. Both from Rotary13b I think his name is on ebay. Both stain less steel and I've had them on for 5 months and they look like brand new. Maybe check ebay first.

Damn, pretty good finds right there. I've dealt with Andy Lee (rotary13b1.com) quite a few times now directly from RX8club. Excellent service!
