just wondering if the rx8 gt comes with a subwoofer and amp? i saw an 05 with a Punch woofer in the trunk. Is it stock? Can't be right? Any inherent issues with one installed on an rx-8?

no it wasnt stock. If you have the stock upgraded bose, it sounds pretty nice for a stock audio system but IMO the base is a little low.

If you see any subwoofers in an RX-8, they're all aftermarket

 

I have a Bose system in my GT but on my unit I do not have mid control is that normal?

 

I think so... i only have bass/treb.

no subs or amps come standard with the 8 I have a couple of tens that's perfect for this car!!!

 

The only Bose system thats actually any good is the one in the CX7. It sounds really good, especially for factory. Its annoying to me that they can't do that in the 8 or 3's. I can't wait till I can replace my speakers.

 

Correct, no subs but yes it has an amp with the 300-watt BOSE 9 speaker system.

 

Stereo sounds best in the off position ... luckily the '8 has a fantastic sounding engine
