Lightbulb Stock Halogen to Stock HID Wiring Diagram or Adapter.

Hey guys, how's everyone doing. so I found a 8 in the junk last week and I took out couple parts including a stock HID headlights with one big fat 8 pin connector harness but my 8 is a halogen headlight with 3 connectors harness coming from the car . any cable adapter or wiring diagram that I can hook up the new HID into my 8. If can hook up everything included the leveler will be nice.

This actually gets a little complicated and you will probably have to splice some wires.

I was looking at the S2(not your S1) wiring diagram, but with your pictures, I think I can assume they are the same system.

Halogen headlights have 2 separate connectors. One is for high beams, one is for low beams.

HID headlights have 1 connector, as the low and high share the same connector.

Forget about the leveling function. Not only do you need the 2 leveling sensors, but you also need to add wires to a lot of other units. Lots of work.

I think its an entire harness swap if I remember correctly. I was considering doing this on my 04 base model and was told there was a lot that needed replaced in order to make the HID swap work properly. As stated above you will need the leveling sensors, one front and one rear and you will need the harness for both, which I assume may not be plug an play into an existing harness from a base model.

I think it's the easiest to just buy a H7 HID kit online and do a projector swap between the 2 units you have on hand.

Thanks for the heads up. I remove the shrink to traced those plug. Like you said it is the same system but with different design. What Mazda did was created one big azz plug with 8 pin to all the lights and one small plug for the signal lights.

About the wires yes the HID has 3 wires GND-HB-LB. I'm sure I can hardwire or buy some plugs and make it right. I may need to splice the wires like you said the Ground wire from the low beam needs to be shared coming from the car to the HL and the high beam on the HID will be ignored I mean wire nut on it.

Definitely leveling not gonna happen.

I'm not gonna do the level sensor. But the HID I'm goin to make it work I just need to figure one more think in the HID to proceed with this project. Scale 1 to 10 they are 8 those HIDs I paid $70 on both and my taillights $80 looks about the same just one small crack right below the keyhole. I already patched it and going to add some kind carbon look just in that small area on both taillights.

I will be home shortly and need help to find out what plug is right beside the HID unit underneath the headlight.

My concern would be that without the leveling, the headlamps will be stuck at their lowest position, making it somewhat difficult to see at night. I had this happen when a leveling sensor failed on an 05 GT that I owned.

I found the soluttion it's gonna give me a little work but I will get it done. I went back to Junk close to me looking for a Mazda there but guess someone made it first than me. Took everything. I found a male plug that fits on Mazda just need some small trim work and for the wires I only need 5 out of 8. Since I don't have level sensor I digged into he HI and I can move the lens U/D R/L . Wires is two for LB and tow for HB one is red for parking light available into the car light harnnes right in the plug. Also is rsirain in here csnca do a thing.
