I heard that red M&Ms are going to be removed from the color mix because red dyes are thought to cause cancer.

I heard that no land transport will ever exceed 15mph, because the difference in pressure would cause our eyes to explode and our insides to turn to mush!

These new-fangled steam transports will never catch on.

Why?

The track results speak for themselves. Did you watch the video?

You can say the test is nonsense, however, it is a fair test, and proves nothing other than on that track, the Mazda is a match for a car with around 100bhp more.

This interested me, because when I had a 'Driving experience' day, we had a track which shared some Evo VII's with a measly little Lotus Exige (Old engine, not the Toyota unit) and the Lotus was faster, not through performance, but due to the lighter weight, so acceleration was on a par, turning was tighter despite no 4WD, and braking points were at 45 metres rather than 75 metres...

Not being a racing driver as such, I would sooner have a lower powered car which has a beter chassis than a higher powered car which is more liable to be crashed trying to negotiate a tight bend too fast...

Some drivers prefer being able to command first place at the traffic lights, but thats no fun compared with proving your skill beating a FASTER car...

The M3 drivers must be wondering whats wrong with their cars if a 230bhp Rice burner matches them with the right driver eh?

The fact is, the Mazda chassis is totally superior, despite the lack of brute power!

Another leveller is the comments on rough engines and surging that abound on some BMW forums, whic mean there ARE unhappy M3 drivers out there, same as the RX.

Mind you, that Concorde pilot wasn't too happy I'll bet....

Sorry bud, Top Gear is for entertainment only. The laps are full of mistakes, the conditions vary drastically, and we don't know if they use the same driver all the time.

In a more fair test by Sport Auto (similar conditions, multiple laps to get a good time, but not perfect by any means)
Hockenheim test times
Mazda Rx8 1,19,8 min
Mazda Rx8 Auto 1,23,1 min
BMW M3 1,17,6 min
BMW M3 SMG 1,18,4 min

The fact is, you're dillusional.

Wow! Really?

So, all those times they have listed on the big board are useless?
