Stealth RX-8 Badges...?

I did a quick search so before the "Search Police" give me their opinions,
does anyone have any idea how to chemically dissolve the chrome plating
off our badges without damaging them?
I want to paint them the same color as my car?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

you can take them off, sand them, and paint them.

Sandblasting would probably be best if you have access to a sandblaster.

Dude I love your sig did you bust that one out?. One way to do this is to first remove the badge(s) sand them down with fine sand paper then repaint them using paint for plastic and seale them! with some kind of UV stuff. Thats it

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try.
Since the rear "RX-8" badge is taped on,
it'll be fun re-aligning it on the re-install...

My SIG picture was "borrowed" from the web... I forget where...
