2005 RX8 Shinka passenger side lip the bottom separating from the top. Mazda (F151-V4-900F-88 Air Dam F) wants 626.00. The service tech advised if I don't want to replace the entire Air Dam to try 3M double sided tape? I would like to know if I can repair the lip myself or does the entire Air Dam have to be replaced? Thanks!

 

Polak and I repaired his car with the same issue with 3M tape.

 

Get a hair dryer to loosen the existing double sided tape and remove the lip. Remove the existing tape from the back of the lip and the bumper. Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and then new double sided tape and install the lip.

 

Or take it to a body shop.

 

Or use super glue, try it. It might work.

 

dont use normal double sided tape get the permanent outside adhesive 3m tape.
