Speeding tickets in your 8?

Not that it is a good thing but, I was wondering what is the most outstanding speeding ticket out there in a 8? Mine was 75 in a 55 (luckily I slammed on my brakes).

I know, I need to more becareful.:D

97 in 65 only 225, was 375 with traffic school and higher fines.. but I was lucky, saw the judge, and paid the fine. But I couldn't take traffic school... sooo..

38 in 25 school, 210 with Traffic school. Since I got this ticket first, I signed up with traffic school... otherwise it would have been about 150 or something.

Total 435 so far. Oh and the 97 I got with 2 fix it ticket... 20 bucks for that... for tint and no front plates.

I was pulled over for doing 68 in a 65. Do I win anything for lowest number over the limit?

I just got a warning. I was pretty pissed at the time, now I just laugh. The state trooper and I were in a group of cars that stuck together for a good 15 minutes. Then I guess he just got bored and picked me out of the 10 cars. He came to my window and said "Do you realized you were doing almost 70?" I just sort of stared at him. I was tempted to say, "Yeah, so......?"

80 in 65 plus an improper lane change. I didn't see him because it was night and i passed him when he was 2 or 3 lanes over to my right. I actually passed him going 90 plus, but when I saw him in my rear I slowed down to 80 and that's what he paced me at. Damn you KY highway patrol! Actually he was nice and made it a 70 in 65. I think i ended up paying like $140 or so.

None, have had it since 1/10 of this year. Have only had it up to 110 and that was late at night on an empty highway. Didn't want to go faster becaus I was afraid of a deer stepping out with that look in it's eyes...crunch!

none for me too though i did run close. i remember the first month i had my car i got pulled over by a highway patrol for weaving and swerving (thought i was drinking). but whats funny was the whole time he was asking about my car (cost and specs), and open my doors to check out the freestyle doors then let me go my way.

I'm driving far slower on restricted roads since I have my 8 - the idea of losing my licence is my worst nightmare.

I think I'll win the contest of the 'quickest speeding ticket'... I got my car on a Friday at about 8 PM, and next morning at about 11 AM I was stopped for doing 45 in a 35 zone
The car was too smooth and quiet so I didn't recognize what my speed was. I tried to explain the cop that I have yet to 'feel' my new car, but he was an *** about it.
Hope he didn't get any for a few weeks. :p
Fine was not too bad, and I got it off my record with doing traffic school online - took me about 90 minutes :D

None yet. Had it since August. I'm sure I'll get one eventually, but I'm trying to keep it at 10 above and under, which seems to work as I've met many cops and haven't been pulled yet. My speedo is 2 mph fast, so that's probably why.

I'm trying to be good since if I get pulled I'll probably get a ticket for having no front plate as well. I did go through a road check point one day, and the deputies didn't even notice there wasn't a plate. I was all prepared with my "it fell off" story, too! :D

im not quite sure how it works in the states, but i got a 75 in a 40 zone ( km/h mind you) and i got a $300 ticket. i will pay the fine no problem but my insurance will likely double... hitting my wallet a lot harder than a measely $300

does the increase in insurance not happen in the usa?

42 in a 25, my first ticket since I got my RX8 in February, and my first ticket in 6 years. The cop was pretty cool about it and dropped it to 34 so the fine would be lower (9 over), and gave me $10 off cause I had my seatbelt on.

Total Damage $72
But that could have gone towards the Valentine Radar I've had my eye on

Yes, in the US, in most cases a speeding ticket will cause an increase in your insurance rates. How much of an increase depends on your age, type of car, what else is on your record, etc...
