spark plugs change

So my car is now at 28k and I think a spark plugs changes is long overdue...(the car seems to drive fine for the moment though).

I am not sure where to order the plugs though. some earlier posts suggest that the best to place to get the plugs are
http://www.amazon.com/NGK-RE7CL-Lase.../dp/B000GZEU64
and
http://www.amazon.com/NGK-RE9BT-Lase...dp/B000AUP2VW/

But as I click the link through, amazon is saying that those plugs will not fit my car (a 2007 6spd manual). Another good place to get the plugs see to be from BHR
http://blackhaloracing.com/products-...-heat-ranges4/

Still I am not sure though is that if the plugs sold by BHR will fit my 2007 Rx8? The sale page says nothing about this... Can someone confirm?

Thanks.

so you are saying 2007 uses the SAME sparks plugs as the earlier year rx8? why amazon is saying that the spark plugs do not fit 2007 model (it does say that the plug will fit when i choose 2004 rx8 model)

Yes, same plugs 2004 through 2010.

Amazon is saying that because they don't know for certain that they are the same plugs, and have massive liability if they are wrong. So they play it on the safe side.

I'd still buy them from Mazmart or BHR for the same price. Support a forum vendor instead of a massive corporation.

good point, will buy from BHR then.

on a side note: do i need to change my coils along with the spark plugs? i would like to change them but it seem that my coils are not so easy to reach.

i checked out this thread
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-mazda-ignition-coils-pics-178515/
but somehow my coils are hiding behind a black plastic box and are not as easy to reach as shown in the above thread...

coils are easier than you'd think; the unpleasant part for me was pulling off the intake air box. other than that, coils are actually easier than the plugs. if you're doing plugs, might as well do the coils, and maybe even get a new set of wires

Yeah if you have the stock intake you will have to take it out. there are some DIY's for removing that as well. Also, the 40 helps out A LOT

They are stock in that thread, so if yourrs are the same location, then they are still stock. I'm guessing that your intake is stock, which does make it a bit of a pain to get to, but entirely doable to change the coils in about 20 minutes, even if no experience. Just make sure you mark the plug wires so you don't get them swapped around.

But yes, coils and plugs are something you should change every 30k miles max. Wires are a bit more random it seems. You can have the same symptoms from a failed plug as you can from a failed coil, and the same goes for a plug wire. We always recommend changing them together. And definitely doing it all yourself. Getting the stock intake out of the way is just about the only annoying part, none of it is actually hard.

problem for me is that i can't seem to find a way to pull out the spark plug wires like others said. there is just no way for me to reach the spot where the wires go into coils with my hand or ratchet, not removing a black box that is in the way...i don't know why there is no such black box in other's pictures...
