...for the 2003 year?
I haven't seen a thread on this, so I'd like to see an estimate

Every day I pull out seeing at least 5 to 10 350Zs a day
On top of maybe another dozen G35s (not counting the ones I probably missed since there are like so many)
Plenty of S2ks goin around..
And maybe one or two RX-8s a week.

Didn't Mazda say they plan to sell like 17,000 to 30,000 models for the year? How close did they reach their goal?

I believe they were referring to the 2004 model year... A few months left on that one.

Local dealer here has a huge stock of Rx-8's and I thought I might get a super deal, which I did, but he is moving them. They sold three or four in the week prior to my purchase.

This car is definitely not slow. There are faster ones, but it is the fastest I have ever had and way more than adequate. I like the handling.

I personally do not care that the rx-8's are not selling, I like the fact that I don't see dozens of 8's at every turn. The other day my neighbor had a black one just like mine in his driveway, I thought that he had bought one and I actually got mad, but I think it was a friend visiting.

The only thing that sucks is that people that are buying now are getting them dirt cheap while I paid MSRP, but I do get free maitenance.

With 12,000+ sold in 2003 (first sold in July?), Mazda's on track to sell 30,000 2004 models I would guess.

12,000+ is very respectable considering it has only been selling for 6 months (or so). There are plenty of people that will buy in years to come. Some people just wait for the bugs to get ironed out.

hey I think its been a sucess. I mean We all have a hot looking car that rides great and as fun as heck to drive.

I highly doubt you can make a judgement on the car until at least a year has past. Just not enough sample time as I am still getting people asking me what car is that!?

been seeing lots of new 8's in San Francisco, not making me too happy, but at least I havent seen any 8's thats the same color as mine. =)
