VA Sold my Shinka :(

Well, I didn't post too much in this forum, and I likely won't be anymore.
After 2 fine years of the most fun car I have ever driven, (2006 Copper Red MT Shinka) it was time to move on. Never caused me any problems, all I had to do was change the oil (so that's likely why I never posted much ...)
The only consolation is that I now have a 2011 Flex Titanium AWD with the EcoBoost engine. 355 horses - goes like snot, and rides like a dream. Carries the family well, and lots of room for our stuff. So along with the sadness, there is that excitement that comes with a new vehicle.
Enjoy your 8's ! Hit the redline once a day for me !
Cheers,
Mike

"Carries the family well, and lots of room for our stuff".

Only valid reason(s) and those are suspect.

Yeah, was really a toss up between the car and the family, though. Agonized that one over a few whiskeys, but ultimately they won out ... damn responsibilites ...

But when you look at this, you may have some sympathy for me ?
I know the Flex is a love/hate thing, but this isn't so bad.

Hey man in a similar boat here. Congrats. I'm sure u'll miss the 8 but if that fits ur family better, that's cool for u.

Pm me what u were able to sell ur car for and if it was to a company like Carmax or an individual ...

Your Flex looks pretty cool! Reminds me of a mini Range Rover.

There are worse things than getting a Flex. A bit over 30 years ago I replaced a BMW 2002 with a VW Rabbit.

Ibwould be sad too if I had to get rid of my car to get an suv. The only way to go for me is either m3 e90/92 or 911 997. I do not have prospects for a family anytime soon so they should work just fine.

I hear ya. I just sold my garage queen (cts-v) didn't think I would ever sell it, but decided to build a house, so it is what it is. Good luck man.

Did you wind up trading it in? I'm curious to take a look at it since it was my old car. Glad to hear it was still running well.

Amazing, since I had sold my rx8 I've been through two C6 corvettes and I now have a CTS V. I've missed the 8 since I sold it. The one good thing is that when the need for the Flex is over you can still get another rx8. Hey does anybody want to trade their R3 for my V??

Yup, traded it. Couldn't afford to take the time to sell privately. Got hosed ( of course), but that's the way it goes.
Koons Ford in 7 corners (Falls Church) has it.
