Friday I left my car at my mechanic's shop so he could install the injectors and couplers that Jeff sent me and so he could install the ingnition from BHR. He calls me today and tells me that apparently my read driver's side shock is blown and he found out cause he saw oil on the floor and when he looked underneath yeah a blown shock . Then he calls me like 10min later to tell me that the couplers that Jeff sent me apparently are wrong diameter or something so they dont fit so yeah another thing going wrong.

I hate mondays.

i feel your pain. last friday night i was driving and all of a sudden..my ecu died...all CELs and it was backfiring like crazy...

dude i feel you. My stuff flooded out for no reason (i always preheat to full temp) whole bunch of probs followed after... But have you guys ever had your dsc light flash while the traction light stays solid happen? its odd. i just changed my battery and it started doin it. O and im interested in the boost setup what would you think the price would be?

 

I dont know. I get my car back tomorrow hopefully. Ill see if I keep it or not.

 

^^i know exactly how you feel...especially since i had a horrible monday today as well, at one point i saw no end to the day...also i recently had my turbo kit stolen while having my engine replaced! when it rains it pours, i really hope you stick with it im sure the end result will be worth it..once i had a taste for turbo thats the only way i will own my 8 now..lol seriously good luck i feel your pain/frustration

where did it get stolen from? a turbo kit isn't an easy thing to steal!

 

stolen from my garage i had it on my workbench fully assembled, i was really down about the theft and actually thought about getting rid of the 8 but that though cleared away fast knowing how good the car feels/drives compared to alot of other cars (boosted) i guess you just gotta move on and hope things get better...since a couple weeks when it was stolen i have another turbo kit on the way

specs:
- Machine compressor cover
- Install larger comp 28g wheel (higher CFM)
- machine hotside flange where the downpipe to increase flow
- Clip the exhaust wheel to reduce back pressure
- port wastegate
- Balance Rotating Assembly and Thrust Bearings

 

^^im keeping an eye on your post about the upgrade i might really consider going that route if it works out for you

Besides, Tim's Turbos (who was initially doing it) was terrible at communication, so I didn't feel good about it. Also look into Bryan at BNR. He talks about his upgrade in the turbo efficiency thread.

This is the same setup I've been sending out for a year. The same one's I use on my car.
How could they not fit?
Did he lay out the originals with the replacements so he knows what goes where?

 

yeah he told me he tired it all and he could only fit one I think. I will let you know as soon as its done how many he couldnt use.
