This also comes from a dealership which in my eyes stands better than a private seller because its their dealerships name on the line if its junk. Miles are 45K. Auto check appears to be 2 owners by the way the titles were issued.
The sales manager I have talked to walked me through pretty much all of the small little nicks that it has (even to tell me about 1/8" - look one way and you see it, look another way and you don't) which I would expect for a 5 year old car.

I was considering telling them that I would offer 12K sight unseen besides pictures..

Private seller
Spoiler, cloth, no power seat, but only asking 11500. only about 31K miles. This concerns me with the price for why it is so low. Looks like their are some dings on the front bumper driver side, and he claims the wheel is scuffed on one rim. Even at asking price, it appears to be OK. But who pays asking price right?? I was thinking of offering 10,300 and ask him to meet me 1/2 way (about 4 hr drive) to meet me, and to prove that he believes the car would make it himself. I will be calling the seller tomorrow (his number on autotrader was disconnected) which he responded to via email what his new number is.

Attached should be carfax and autocheck. I have the auto check for the private too, but not sure how to get my personal name off and post it. And the carfax for the dealer one was asked for, and will post as soon as I receive it.


Please give me your opinions!!! I know 04 models to some are not worth the look, and others say they are perfectly fine!

imo dealer is who id trust and i like the leather n sunroof better too

dealers are having tough times bargain as hard as you can you should get a good deal most are desperate to make a sell

over all id go with the first one and try to get the lowest price possible obviously

but if it doesnt work out theres always the private seller even though the first one has more miles thats the one id go for due to the interior and sunroof

their both 04 and under warranty so take em in first thing and make sure all recalls n such are done whichever you choose

but then im biased my car is basically identical to the first one

 

screw both of them i just picked up a 04 winning blue 8 with 45k miles on it, gt pack, trim blue and black seats blah blah, plus it has koni shocks 2" drop, clutch, and flywheel upgrades...all for 10.5k$ shop around more, craigslist and autotrader where the best i found

 

hes not gonna pay what their asking obviously

try to go as low as possible like he said if its not low enough shop around

No, the suspension was done for the "looks" and they upgraded the clutch because it was being replaced anyway. The people i bought it from where rich and older. It obviously hasnt been beaten and ive had a friend of mine (whos a mechanic) go through the car completely... Although looking at des moines(sp?) craiglist, all the listings are much higher than the market in houston, 04-05s are posted almost everyday in houston for 10-14k. So could just be the area market that your in.

you might want to shop around if you cant get what you want for a good enough price

eventually a good deal will come it took me 6 months to find a good deal on my 8 of course the economy was good and it was harder to find a good deal
