Slight wiff of burning oil, guessing that's normal?

So, after living with the car for a few days, I noticed a slight wiff of burning oil from time to time. Guessing/hoping that's some what normal since the car is supposed to burn oil. If it is a leak of some kind, I don't think it's in the housing. Car saps to life almost instantly cold or hot and runs very smooth.

So, I'm guessing it's ok since no one said anything?

Normal. You should check the oil level every gas fill up, and top it off when needed.

check for any leaks around the oil pan, etc.

Also, check your air intake for any oil, and look at your exhaust tips for excessive soot

I know it's not leaking in any large amount. Since, there is not drops in the garage or my parking spot at work.

I know about the oil needs checked. Still on my first tank of gas, but not for much longer, almost ready for the next fill up.

I will check the other things. Thanks!

just because you're on your first tank of gas, doesn't mean you can't check the oil!

If the oil has been changed recently, a small amount of oil might have spilled from the oil filter into the engine bay and that's what you smell burning. The dealer that sold me my car got oil all over the place. After a couple of weeks and cleaning with some brake cleaner, the oil and smell went away.

I sometimes smell antifreeze when I'm idling for a while and it's 70+ degrees outside. Not sure why that's happening, but if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
