Sirius Satilite Question

My girl bought me a Smartmate sirius satellite radio for my car(S) right now its going in my winter beater, but in the spring when the 8 comes out im gonna put it in there.. maybe, wanted to know if anyone has done it, and what kinda set up.. im thining of putting it where the Ashtray holder is.. i dont use it.. and i think it would look sharp there.. i dont want a noticalbe amount of wires and stuff haning off my dashboard.. im thinking it will be "cleaner" if i put it in the ashtray holder, any suggestions or setup ideas, would be awesome.. thanks!

I put my Starmate in the ashtray area, it fits fine with a little bit of dremel work. I took out the ashtray insert and pulled out the entire console center to work on it. I also used the flat Starmate mounting bracket and screwed it into the location where the ashtray insert was to give a flat mounting point, then used velcro to hold the radio to the bracket. I also hard wired the radio to the cigarette lighter and ran the antenna along the center console up to the rear deck. The radio can still be removed to use in other cars or with the home kit.
