Signing for an 8 soon.

Signing for an 8 soon.
Through searching and scouring, and help from a friend in the industry I've found my potential 8. Haven't seen the vehicle yet but I can give the basics and maybe you guys could give me some common advice?
I'm a new user to these forums. My first rotary was an '86 RX-7 but it was short lived, bought it at a huge steal but couldn't afford repairs. Ended up selling it after a few months. I'm pretty much burned out on the public used car deal so I'm going through a dealer now that I have steady income.
I'm a noob to manuals and of course am going to need practice to get better. I decided to switch to a stick ever since my friend essentially saved our lives with some timely engine braking during some particularly bad rainy day driving, but that's a story for another day.
Anyway! My find is currently an '05 RX-8 Grand Touring with a six speed manual and around 25,000 miles for 12K. The lenders being so tight fisted now are forcing me to get a co-signer. No biggie for me but anything I should watch out for specifically in the '05 model or something not covered in the new and potential owners page?

Whats the difference between a private used car and a dealer used car? Either way a private person owned it and possibly beat the hell out of it. You can take a car and get it checked at a mechanic to make sure its solid and pay less by going for the private sale.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
Good choice. Mines still running strong like new
Nothing really to watch out for. Just take care of the car and the car will take care of you. Preventive maintenance is a must for a long lasting relationship
