i just don't know what to do to "make it my own" all though i'm ALL for it. ive never done anything with cars and have no idea where to start without wasting alot of money and time. i have an hourly job so i can get money, but i have to pay for gas, part of my insurance and everything else so its tough to save up for new rims when you're dropping 40 bucks on a night out with the girlfriend :(

so pretty much, affordable ways to make my 6 mine?

keep the 6, but don't mod it. Save your money, in 3-4 years when the deprecation hit isn't as bad, sell off the 6 and use the money you saved not buying mods to get the new rx8 or rx7.

selling the 6 to get a 8 is stupid, even if you get that nagging feeling that you're missing out on something amazing (which you are). just keep in mind the upgraded 8 is going to be even better and you can be first in line when it arrives.

i'm only 16 theres no way i can save enough to buy a new rx8 or 7 i totally wish i could but i'm going to college so maybe after college :-/

modding a car generally lowers the value. Don't bother. Considering you're 16, keep saving.

i'm not looking for any engine changes, mostly aesthetic changes

for example i want the mazda6 spoiler, 350 for a new one on the mazdausa site
and ipod integration module for 150
and tinting.
maybe new rims..i like the speed6 rims!

oh and xenons....how should i get them? off ebay? i can see alot going wrong buying conversion kits off ebay...how should i do it

I agree. Don't waste money on mods, not for a Mazda6. Save up money for an RX8, and you'll have all the more money to blow on that once you get it.

Ya, I would have figured out my maximum, say 30k, and picked a 60k car like the 5series BMW, a used C6, a Hummer (original) or my favorite, a Lotus Esprit.


But take your 6 and mod it.
First swap the engine for a 2 stroke 150cc motorcycle. Next, Put 10in gold rims on the sucker, with BIG mud tires.

After that, Paint it any color, just use wood paint.

Now, you got yourself a real keeper.
