Side moldings!

Ok so i thought i bought side aeros on ebay for my rx8 for 160 bucks shipped. Sent the ppl my paint code and they painted and shipped. Now the paint matches perfectly and the paint job itsself is flawless. Theres one problem, they are side moldings not aeros. so im wondering should i put them on and see that they look like on the 8 or try to get rid of them.

<--this is the pic you get when you buy, if you look close the moldings are on the doors.

This is what i got

I think i might put them on my 8 and if they look alright ill keep it on. ill post pics if i do

what you guys think....

I'd love to help but I can't figure out what you're trying to say. I read that sentence 3 times and almost went crazy, thinking something was wrong with my eyes!

Yeah, I don't like the side moldings either. I removed them from my 6.

Don't put on the side mouldings! So many car guys pay big bucks to "shave" off mouldings to keep things smooth. Plus side mouldings aren't all that effective at preventing door dings - especially from high riding SUVs. For $160 you can get a lot more...

I dont really think so i mean cars and trucks are all different heights so you can still get dinged. Man this kinda really sucks i think it would look granny like, but im tryin to justify putting them on since i spen 160 bux. *kicks self in head*

Looks horrible, that's why most people usually "de-mold" their cars if they came from factory like that. Moldings = 80s.

But hey, thats just my opinion!

have you tried asking for the sale to be cancelled, that happened to me last week with pulleys. It was an incredibly slapping my forehead stupid mistake but there were pulleys for 50 bucks and they said MSP pulleys and I thought that meant mazdaspeed. So of course I clicked buy now and then realized that stood for multi side port, not mazdaspeed. So i emailed the seller and explained to him what happened and he was very nice about it and said no problem. So give it a stab before you get stuck with items that were misleading in the picture....
