Show me the Navagation!

Noticed that this was an option on the car, yet in grand BMW style I haven't been able to find anything about it. Can someone provide pictures or a link that I totally missed?

A friend of mine just ordered a M3 with Nav and he said he had a hell of a time finding the pages that show you what you actually get. Not sure why a high dollar item like this would be hidden away.

Help with this would be mucho cool.

Thanks a lot, you guys rock. I like the nav system and I think it would be somewhat handy, but I'm not sure i'm ready to drop 2Gs on it. Well maybe after my buddy has his M3 and I can play with that, it will push me the other way.

Ok, placed an order on a Titanium/black 6-speed GT last Friday, so maybe I'm qualified to make my first post.

Nice pics RX-8 Zoomster. Has anyone else noticed that the cars equiped with Nav system have different climate control ***** to those without Nav. Perhaps the Nav system comes with an upgraded climate system? Anyone know whether cars without Nav come with auto climate control (R&T seem to think so in their April test)?

I didn't notice that... the auto climate control system from what I understand is standard on both cars.

........
For Germany, the upgraded climate control system is stock on the 240hp 6speed and not available on the 192 hp 5-speed. It is independent of having Nav or not (which is a stand-alone option).

well the Navi version clearly says 'AUTO' on the RH button, whereas AUTO is nowhere to be seen on the standard set-up.

dude, BMW navigation is just about the worsed navigation system out there, check out the Lexus nav, thats the best there is, period. Even the dated (2000, not SO dated really...but in terms of nav tech... compared to what they have now) models have superior nav. BMW will just turn you off of it, there system is virtually useless.....

Have you compared it to the G35C Nav? That system rocks and is on DVD as opposed to CD like most. I really thought the ability to change the view to an angled view was particularly cool. I haven't looked at many others though, so am not sure how it rates.

nope doesn't show in the preview. good pic i don't think i have seen that particular one before. it could be just a preproduction model that they didn't bother to label all the way, i mean what else would the button in the center do? but i guess we will have to wait and see.
edit: i am re posting the earlieer pic. you can see that the ***** are actually labeled different and the label on the ashtray cover is just kinda slapped on there. i would like to suggest that these are to different versions of pre production cars like v2.1 and v2.5. so don't draw any conclusions just yet

the lexus nav is also DVD based, and is in a completely different calls than the Nissan system, though that is quite good.

The Infinity NAV and Nissan NAV are different according to the dealer. I didn't examine them both but did get a good demo of the G35C NAV
