Yea I know I have been a die hard fan, but things are changing in my life, gf wants me to settle, family bitching about me toying around my cars all day and night ... The worst is I really feel like I am getting old.

But the biggest reason is this car keeps on giving me random problems which I am not sure if I can handle it down the road.

I'd hate to see you sell it, but it's an understandable situation. Just don't leave yourself without a hobby man. You can always pick another up when the dust settles. You have to stick around to set the noobs straight though.

I've sold off most of my guitars, music equipment, and cycling gear after getting married to make ends meet. It came down to picking a hobby and dropping the rest. I picked the car. Now that things are getting better economically, i'm getting back into cycling, and will eventually get back into guitars. It's all about priorities. Keep the higher ones and drop the lower ones. If I had to re-prioritize and do it again some time in the future, I can't say that I would pick the car again.

 

+1 on that!! My car is my hobby. Keeps me centered.

 

If your car is giving you trouble and you're getting tired of it, then sell it.

As for the rest...I guess I could say the same thing about family and gf.

Don't let that old feeling slow you down. That leads to a downward spiral. Just move on from (or around) whatever is getting to you.

That exhaust note makes the heart beat faster... feeling the shifter slide into every gear with that mechanical touch to it ever so slightly... waiting for that temp needle to rise as if she's saying "hold on honey this is just foreplay, wait till I'm hot " then feeling that surge of power and xtc and sensing yourself smiling until it's time to shift up and do it again..

I know I won't give my 8/Rotary up unless Mazda goes bankrupt/stop making it. but I do have to make decisions lately on what exactly I want to do in the future. I mean I have income but I can't just do the same thing for the rest of my life. Know what I mean?

Remember your car will never hate you for rubbing another cars fenders, for staring at another car, or even test driving it. The GF however might be a little angry with you.

yeah just dont tell her (the car that is) the day i went looking at mazdas with the gsx... she said F-you and the oilline blew on the turbo
