should i keep trying?
this afternoon i had made the stupidest mistake, forgetting i was driving a rotary car.
after moving my car a couple feet i turned it off.. completly forgetting that i was driving a rotary.. now 4 hrs later i go back and try to drive off to find out that my car will not start, i quickly tried the deflooding procedure but nothing.. no go.. now the car will click or make a clicking sound once the key is in the start position, does that show a bad starter? iv tried the deflood procedure about 10+ times now and nothing.. is there another problem or should i keep trying

The deflooding procedure only works if your car was flooded. If it was cranking over, but now it isn't, your battery is likely dead. You'll need to get that recharged or find someone with a battery big enough to jumpstart you. (thats a big battery for the RX-8 - think big block V-8) But if it was cranking before, this isnt your issue.
Do you usually rev your car before you shut it off to kick the unburnt fuel out of your cat?
Are you running a cat?
If so, you may be "carbon locked" meaning that your exhaust is bound, causing compression to build in your exhaust, between your exhaust ports and cat. If thats the case, your car should start if you disconnect your exhaust from the header/manifold. If your car starts right up, its time to switch out that cat (and start reving your engine immediately before shutting it off.)
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to tell if its the cat without disconnecting it, and there is no way to effectively clean it out. On the upside, your car may start tomorrow, just because of the expansion/contraction cycle of your cat overnight. If it does, you still may have this problem.
I hope this helps - at least it isnt your motor or tranny!

Push starting will also de-flood your engine - it will push the extra fuel straight out of your exhaust ports.
Symptoms are:
It turns over, but doesnt start
Your spark plugs are wet with fuel (harder to check on the 8)
I think you might be leaning a little too hard on the "flooded" theory. You're correct, BTW - if you just replaced your cat, this probably isnt the issue, unless it became "crapped-up" in record time.
Are you getting a CEL?

the car doesnt even crank over, so im guessing it could be the battery now.. but im not sure since everything works, and no i do not have any cel.. i recently had a po302 code but that went away by itself in less then a day, i do need new coils soon tho..

Its parked on a metter? im confused like im serious did you mean meter and if so how come you cant push it? When mine was flooded we screwed the tow hook in the front, pulled it at about 15 mph, dropped the clutch in second if i remember correctly, and it started right up. We then let it run for awhile and haven't had a problem since.

Sorry I did mean meter, and yes I can push it but it's next to a busy interaction.. Probably not a good idea.. But I just got it towed to a close dealership Im told that the motor could be locked or the started has died.. I'm not sure yet tho..

I've realized this after an hour...luckily the car start but take a little bit longer for the starter to spin..
she's an '04...upgraded starter..OEM coil(changed last sept)...latest PCM flash..
btw, its not my first time I did this mistake but never flooded her(hopefully)...
It's looks like your battery was drained..try recharging it...

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
It only happened once to me, well... not really me, but my wife. She turned it on and forgot something inside the house and she turned off the engine. She did not know about it at first and she called me that when she came back to turn it on again, she said that the car won't start. I came downstairs to the garage and i pressed the gas a couple of times and started the car, and bamm, the car started and white smoke came out of the tail pipes. I told my wife, never do that again because this car is different than the other car we have (Mazda 6i). Anyways, i'm glad it started and it never happened again since then.

Hey, $0 is better than... pretty much anything!
Its easy to overlook the simple fixes. We should have directed you to check your fuses.
I'm as guilty as anyone... I automatically assumed Carbon lock and a fouled cat. Sorry Kid
What was the specific problem?
