Should I keep it...
Well when I bought the car, the dealer didn't know and I didn't know Mazda has extended the powertrain warranty to 5yr/60,000 miles from the emission recall. So this being my first rotary, the standard warranty gone in 9/07 and I'm making payments, I got the extended warranty just in case, which cover to end of 09 and almost to 50,000 miles (car was under 14k miles when I bough it 6 months ago, about 21k now). But turns out base on mileage, the extended warranty only surpass the powertrain extension by about 6 months. The car has no problem what so ever so far.
I'm going to cancel it and get my money back, but before I do that, I recall seeing a few people with transmission problems here. Were they just isolated case? Or is it something that worth keeping the warranty for.
I autox the car and go to a couple track days a year, but I'm pretty easy on gearboxes and don't bang those gears or do drag launches, so I'd like to think I'm fine. Any ideas?

I've heard cost of tranny from something under $1000 used to $3000 new. Add in labor the extended warranty will be cheaper even with a used one.
Mazda don't know the car's being autox'd, and I intend to keep it that way.
I was thinking powertrain would be just for the engine; and drivetrain to include the tranny and rear end. Turns out in Mazda language, powertrain include engine, tranny, axle and read end. Extended warranty is going.
I hate it when I asnwer my own question.

Even if it's only 6 months longer max than the extended powertrain from Mazda? I don't suppose the rest of the car has that much problem, does it?
I don't really need the money now, but extra cash never hurts when you have a house and two car payments.
