Should I?

Should I?
I'M THINKING OF BUYING A USED RX-8 BECAUSE I LOVE ROTARYS AND THE STYLE DATING BACK TO 80s RX-7s. BUT ALL THE RECALL THREATS IS LEADING ME AWAY SOME WHAT. BUT I STILL WANT IT AFTER TEST DRIVING MULTIPLE RX-8s AND ENJOY DRIVING THE CAR SOOOOOO MUCH. THE RX-8 I AM TARGETING IS A 2004 WITH 30K MILES. THE GUY IS ASKING $14K FOR IT, SHOULD I TALK HIM DOWN CONSIDERING HE HASN'T TOOK THE CAR IN FOR RECALLS. HE SAID HE HAS HAD NO PROBLEMS AND WAS AWARE OF POTENTIAL PROBLEMS WITH FLOODING AND ENGINE FAILURE BUT FELT NO REASON TAKING IT IN. IS THIS A GOOD DEAL? AND IF I DO BUY IT SHOULD I TAKE IT DIRECTLY TO DEALER FOR CHECK UPS ON THE RECALLS.

Just giving you a hard time, but since I've seen improvement I give you a GOLD star.. Congrats..
AS for the RX8 you will just have to do research into the car to see if its the right car for you. Everyone here will tell you to get one cause we all ( for the most part ) own an RX8.. They are great car, but yes, some do have problems.. There is a plethera of information on the this site that can help you make the right choice for YOU! Cause in the end, its you driving the car, not us.. We have our own! =)

This guy shows signs of another Tajaho in the making....hmmmm im just not sure bout this fella
For real though, yes it is a good deal. Buy it.
2 most important tips you can get:
1) Search your *** off
2) Read all of Taj's threads/posts and do the opposite

So I'm supposed to do the opposite...gotcha...
but wait...you're telling me to do the opposite of what you say on your posts...so does that mean in this post im supposed to do what you actually said?!?
But if im supposed to do the opposite, then I shouldn't read your posts. But how can I do the opposite if I don't read them?!?

Can't advise you on the price - I'm a terrible shopper - but don't be afraid of the car or the distorted Internet-forum apocrypha. The recalls have been relatively benign. At 30K the car is still under warranty. If you get it, definitely bring it into a Mazda dealer for the required updates. They'll be free. Just be careful that they don't talk you into springing for a "xxxx mile dealer-recommended service".

If the guy "never got around" to getting recalls done, perhaps he didn't "get around" to doing oil and filter changes or other basic maintenance. I'm always leery of buying a car from lazy owners.
