She comes home tomorrow.....

Picking up my 8 tomorrow. Went and looked at it last friday and agreed to purchase pending compression test results. Had the test performed this morning and the results are in:

200' above sea level; rotor 1: 8.1, 7.8, 7.7 @249RPM. Rotor 2: 8.0, 7.6, 7.9 @ 245RPM.

Car is a 2007 M6 GT, blk/blk, everything but nav, 18k miles, original owner, garaged, summers only, all documentation (oil changed every 2250mi +/-), dealer serviced. Purchased new 8/20/07, so I have about 7mos remaining of the original 5/60 warranty.

Looking forward to it!

Sounds like a solid car. Congrats.

Roidz 02-06-2012 03:16 PM

Sounds good. I remember the day I picked up mine, it was a lot of fun.

Corso 02-06-2012 03:47 PM

Thanks guys. I'll try and get some pictures up tonight.

Now I just need to wait for spring!

Nice ride, it looks well maintained.

Engine bay looks clean. Congrats and enjoy the ride.

That's a great looking car, man. Appears to have been nicely kept.

The sunroof deflector and the strakes? Skadoosh.

Corso 02-07-2012 08:25 AM

Thanks guys, it really is practically showroom condition. Owner was a fanatic. I was either going to find one this clean and well documented, or I wasn't buying one at all.

Yes, the wind deflector will be off within moments of pulling into my garage.

She looks like a keeper. Only thing I would do is get some oil-cooler screens. Racingbeat.com makes them. Well that's where i got mine from and they aren't to bad to install if you want to do it your self.

Roidz 02-07-2012 09:00 AM

Very clean. I would be removing the strakes but that's just me.

Corso 02-07-2012 09:12 AM

Strakes will likely go. She'll be garaged till probably mid-April, so i'll have plenty of time to stare at her and figure out if I like them or not. Unless she's under the Noah car cover i'll be ordering today.

Looks like a fantastic buy. Super-clean. If it was mine I'd debadge it and paint the front and rear rotor accents black :) Enjoy!

the rotary accents come off so why not just remove them

Here in NYC rocks are not the issue but stupid people bumping your car when you park on the street, lol

Corso 02-07-2012 08:14 PM

Well, it's official. She is registered and in my garage. I can't believe how good the previous owner was about hanging onto everything related to the car. Things like the unused 'zoom-zoom' sticker, to the tags that dealers put on the keys, to the air bag lable that hung from the glove box, the window sticker, the DVD, a 2007 sales brochure, the letter from Mazda regarding the 96/100 core warranty, every single service invoice from the dealer.......everything! I love that.

Sounds like you found a good one. It's great when people actually care about their car and take good care of it!
