Service Dept trained on Rotary engine?
I am hoping that the Mazda service department will be fully trained to work on the RX-8. I called several dealers and asked the service dept questions on the rotary engine - and most had no idea or said we see very few RX-7's?

Careful, I bite!
I talked with the Service Manager for my local dealer (John Hine in SD) and he told me that Mazda has already told the dealerships that they won't be getting their cars until at least 2/3rds of the service techs for that dealership have attended training for the rotary.
It doesn't say anything about the quality of the training, but at least it will exist...

I spoke with our local rotary guru, who happens to work at a dealership, he said that training is coming soon, they get shipped out for a day and spend it on the car.. but he basically said it'd consist of "here is the OBD2 diagnostic plug" "thats where the oil goes" etc...

Is that spooky or what?!
What if someone gets a lemon of some sort and needs to bring it in.. Having all the mechanics guess and screw the car even more...
Oh man, that would really kill me.
