self leveling headlights???

I got an '06 GT with HID's....this means the lights auto level? does this mean the lights are constantly leveling themselves??? I've noticed they dont make a flat line though...one side is usually a little higher than the other side.

one side is higher coz the drivers side is intentionally aimed lower so to not blind oncoming traffic

If you don't like the way your headlight is angled, there's a hole where where you stick a screw driver in it to adjust it.

My lights are the same.
I've seen two other 8's like that so I'm going to guess that it is normal.

I only see it when I'm in my driveway leaving for work in the morning.
On the street I cannot tell.

as well as the left side being lower to not blind on comming traffic the right side is higher to see signs better...
so if you buy jdm headlights it will actually be reversed and aimed to blind oncoming traffic and to not illuminate street signs... thats how my s13 is and its kinda funny

They autolevel after about 10 seconds of being off level. Flip on your lights on your garage door at night and sit on your trunk and watch.

All HIDs are required to have auto leveling head lights. If you want to adjust their height, get a screw driver, and start playing with those white peices that adjust the height.

That's not true, the European and Japanese models have HIDs that you can adjust from the cockpit. It's located right next to the DSC button.

You can adjust how the HID on the EVO's from the cockpit as well.

I hate people who make their lights the same level, or make the left side higher.

Mazda did for the Mazdaspeed 6. They have a switch that lowers and raises the headlight beam.

I have only seen my headlights move a little higher after start up. Nothing cool like my friends 325ci. those things go down up left right EVERY time he turns them on. When he's at a stop light if he presses the brake the lights go up for a second to compensate the braking. not to mention the adaptive brake lights that flash when you brake hard.....Makes me wanna be a beamer.

I might be doing it wrong, but I have to remove the fender liner to get to the adjuster.
