Hello all, New owner looking for some help. I have an 04 that I bought last week but it has the dreaded passenger side tailight full of water problem. I would go ahead and just dry it out but the silver flecking has come off from the inside so it's going to be a replacement.
I went to the dealer and he quoted me part number FE01-51-150G for $284.36.

So sticking with that part number I can buy this one off ebay for about $210 shipped:

But if I can use the part number FE01-51-150M in my '04 as seen in this auction:

Then I can get it shipped to my house for around $165ish. So how about it does that last letter being a G or an M matter much? Is there any difference between the two part numbers fundamentally? Will it fit? Look completely different? Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

says the M is for 06-08. I'd be willing to bet that it's a different design and won't fit. It's probably the fixed design that doesn't leak.

The G is in higher demand due to the leak issues common with the 04-05.

It won't be a new taillight, but there are users on these boards that can probably sell you a good one at a better price. Head over to the For Sale/For Purchase section and post a WTB thread.

 

Thanks for the reply, I assumed that also but then I see these replacements also marketed other places as fitting models in the 04-08 range including these forums in the for sale section. I have posted in the parts section now also though thanks.

 

There is no difference in tail lights except for ones made after 08 the small difference made for 06-08 is the brake light lens is a bit more red. Set side by side its hard to see the difference in the reds.
