I've had my RX-8 for 3 years now, and I'm still in love.

sirP 01-31-2012 09:13 PM

Love the 8

I love the rx8. Although mazda had some issues with suppliers and crappy parts, the car itself is beast.

viilee206 02-03-2012 10:50 PM

high!

Highly Satisfied

I paid less than $25,000 tax, tag and title included when I bought my 2010 new. I couldn't believe the price. I thought the RX8 would be like $40,000. Compared to the price of a 370z, I can buy a lot of 19mpg gas.

KRMRX8 02-05-2012 06:49 PM

Just hit the 30 month of ownership of my 2008 40th AE 6 speed, had bought new in summer of '09 and just tonight hit 36K mileage:
Flawless reliability and the weekend trip of 400 round trip miles averaged 23.25 mpg with cruise set at 70 mph. Best part is the 99 zillion smiles per mile.

Bold Rascal 02-06-2012 12:11 PM

All smiles so far! Just puchased a stock "05" MT fully loaded including a spare tire. It has only 11,000 miles and was less than half what the original owner paid. I was seriously looking at the Solstice, Great looking ride but no room for more than a CD and a toothbrush. The RX8 runs better, much smoother, quieter and has a trunk!

rotagirl 02-06-2012 06:14 PM

 Only 4 days I've had my beauty and I'm set for life, I know she'll cost me money and I know she'll cause me trouble but I LOVE HER! Never have I been more content in a car. Road rage at %0. Loving the jealousy and admiration of others :lol2:
What a car, highly satisfied

talle232008 02-07-2012 12:57 PM

Rotagirl!! It gets better everyday!!!

Zahir 02-09-2012 05:47 PM

Just like my wife

In general satisfied. Like my marriage, thrilling at first, generally satisfied since as I got used to her and if I am unsatisfied, I would be divorced or separated. So too my RX8.

FRX10 02-12-2012 08:02 PM

Love this machine. Surprised at some of the envious looks I've already scored in just a few days of ownership. An absolute pleasure to drive, great cornering, and the sound of the engine is superb.

tablesRX8 03-20-2012 03:16 PM

I get withdrawl whenever i gota drive anything else or a friend drives somwhere instead lol

Are-Ex-Eight 05-13-2012 10:38 AM

Interesting stats. Wonder how it changed with gas prices over the years.

bbacho2002 05-13-2012 10:46 AM

love it but ............... less than 3k miles of ownership and at only 34K I already spent over 2500 bucks on it :( ( new clutch - spark plugs - wires - coils - tires ) and it is now idleing like crap .. I will clean maf and seamfoam this weekend and see what happens....

viilee206 05-13-2012 02:59 PM

Very interesting. Wonder how it will change when you need new motor. (:

Saiyan 05-14-2012 06:49 AM

Get in, let her warm up, and "beep" her in at least 3 gears, always makes me grin...always

Love it!!

dave93 05-14-2012 09:16 AM

As part of our on going commitment to customer satisfaction we would like to take this opportunity to ask you to complete our customer satisfaction survey. Based on your recent experience at this Dealership, how likely would you be to recommend this Dealership to a friend or colleague that is looking to buy a car.

Had it for 2 months now. Its my baby. I am gladly putting money into it so it will stay nice forever. Changing plugs and coils and draining the cooling system soon. Just as maintenance. Nothing is wrong. But its about time to do it. Its a beast of a car. Totally satisfied and i knew what I was getting going into it. And its exceeding my expectations/the norm.

jamesf 05-20-2012 03:57 AM

I love my RX8 to death. I do not regret purchasing it at all. I put "somewhat satisfied" only because I really went about the purchasing process the wrong way. I did not do enough homework and ended up paying the price. Purchased an abused motor with some other issues. But I learned how to do most of it myself, and have only grown to like it more (plus I still have 2 years left on my warranty =) ).

So I'm 100% satisfied with having the rx8. I am just neutral to unsatisfactory on how critical you really have to be when picking out the vehicle. It was my first car that I purchased on my own. I figured it was as simple as going to the dealer, getting the best price, and then my car would be around for years.

Anyways, I would get another one in a heart beat, no matter if mine broke down tomorrow. Because riding it is just unlike any other car to me.

Smiley!!!!!!!!!

I am very happy to say that i love my RX-8! I have done ALOT of reading on this site before i went through with buying it. I was sceptible about getting it at first because i was raised around nothing but your average 350 but the rotary engine is awesomeee!! And i also believe i got it for a steal, along with getting it at the right time. I stumbled across this deal and couldnt pass it up with everything i read. My bandit :) is a copper red(i believe is the correct name for the paint) 2004 6 speed manual with the bose system and recently had a new engine and exhaust system intalled. And i put the drop-in K&N filter in today :). To sum it up I bought the 8 with a new, updated engine and exhaust system for 10.5k. Also i have never had a vehicle turn so many heads. Good deal right???

XerEagle 05-25-2012 03:51 PM

I can say that I am still very satisfied the 2nd time around. I first purchase a 05 Sport and while I loved driving it, I kept thinking that it wasn’t worth the money I was putting in the tank. Gave it up for a Civic Hybrid (love the mpg’s, > 41mpg over 105,000 miles) but hated the handling. Saved and purchased a fully loaded 07 and even though I do not have to use it as a daily driver, I do! I will keep the RX8 until it dies this time around.

Emu 05-25-2012 04:30 PM

Wizard!

My wife wanted the RX. I thought they were wierd and expensive to run. Went to take a test drive and she had forgotten nher licence so I took the wheel and fell in love. Have owned our crystal white 40th anniversary edition for 3 years.

Update

Been away on a work trip for a couple of months and the battery died. Will try to get some warranty work since it is a 2011 model purchased in December of 2011. Will post after work is done.
