I had the opportunity to sit in a White Water Pearl GT earlier tonight. Im planning to purchase the 6 speed GT with black leather this week hopefully .and The Paint is awesome. Its definitely worth 200 bucks more if not more.

The key is pretty cool. Stilletto style. Im sold. I was waiting for the 2006 Mazdaspeed. I cant wait any longer. I almost bought a white 2000 S2000 earlier today but found out it has been in a wreck before. What was i thinking?

I love the RX8!


Should i get the Appearance package with teh Spoiler or just wait and get the Mazdaspeed spoiler?

unless your local dealership offers the ms spoiler at discount, order it online for about $800 then have your dealership install it (unless you're okay with drilling holes into your trunk). This will save you several hundred dollars on it.

one more thing to add is that the white has an iridescent look and flakes in the paint. definitely i would go with the MS spoiler.

I had a my video phone with me, and I totally forgot to take a pic.

Great color choice. White would have been my second pick after yellow. In fact, I was a bit torn between waiting for the '05 white or going with an '04 yellow. For me, it had to be yellow!

I wonder why Mazda changed the name from Snowflake Pearl White mica, as it's known in in Japan, to "White water"? All the other color names used in Japan are the same in the US. Maybe they thought "White water" would resonate better with Americans, but I actually like the name snowflake pearl better.

Yeah snowflake pearl sounds soft--that's my guess as to why they changed the name.

I wanted to wait for the white RX-8 also, but felt that when I saw it I would be dissapointed because I'd built it up to be more than it was. So I just got black instead, which was almost as equal a choice for me.

Go with the stock spoiler + appearance package. Believe me, it grows on you. Originally I was gonna get the MS kit, but decided to keep the change and do the appearance + stock spoiler. I think I like it more than the ms kit now, but that doesn't mean I still don't think the ms kit is sweet.
