Just curious if there are publically available stats on how many of each color are sold per year.

The only reason I ask is that I've still only seen two other Stormy Blue Mica RX-8's in person. One on the freeway ~2 years ago and the 2007 automatic that one of the local dealers had when I was looking for mine. I see plenty of red, black, various grays, white, and even a couple yellows running around the Seattle area.

 

i don't think there are many owned SBs. there aren't very many on the forum, as far as I know.

Im sure it depends on the area. all i see is 350z's around me.

 

Nordic green is fairly uncommon. I know pre-painted body parts were higher for it.

 

there are no such numbers collected by MNAO or Corporate. It seems like there would be for spare parts stocking etc but they simply dont . After a color is initially put out the simply go by how many are re-ordered by dealers for further production.

 

I love stormy blue, I saw a mazda3 with it once, it looked about 100 times better than any other 3 I saw, and my sister owns one....

Sunlight silver is another good one.

 

around houston, i've seen like silver and red the most if that helps! :D

 

i've seen a stormy blue at least once. maybe twice.

not that common.

 

i've only seen the green once, and was like whoa. very rare, haven't seen the stormy blue though. 1 yellow and 1 WB here.

If you think that stormy blue is rare then try having phantom blue...

 

I was actually going to get a PB until I found a SB with a GT package. I always thought PB was a cool color.
