Said goodbye to my 8 after seven fun years

Well, after tossing around the idea for months, I finally decided it was time to let someone else enjoy my '04 GT. I loved every second of the car, but it was time to get something with some more space. It turned 70k miles two days before trading her in, and the only problem I had was getting the fuel pump replaced under warranty after two years.

I didn't mind the MPG or the extra care for the rotary (I did enough research to know exactly what I was buying). No problems fitting the wife & baby seat..with the snow tires, no problem in the snow...on the way to the dealership, I gave it one last redline. I'll miss that!

For now, on to the 4Runner....in a few years, I'll be back in the rotary family!

Don't let the door...
kidding.

I miss mine as well, and I traded it in 6 years ago. Damn.
You'll probably miss it just as much if not more because you're changing over to a battleship.

Sad day indeed. Good luck with the 4runner, it's a good SUV.

You'll regret it. Have fun with the Toyota 4runner though.

7 years is a long time and it sounds like she was good to you for all that time as well.
Enjoy the 4Runner, that's a great SUV (I came THIS close to buying one last year)

I almost decided to keep the 8 and get the 4Runner...especially with my 8 being one of the first ones manufactured...with winter coming though, figured when my son is a little older I'll get another rotary.

The community here has been something I've definitely really enjoyed! I've met some awesome people & gotten so much invaluable information here. It's been a lot of fun!

The 2004 is a special animal. They don't even make the 2 tone seats anymore IIRC.

I'm on the fence myself about a trade-in.

Good Luck! Maybe the new RX-7 will come out when you're looking in the future
