So I own a 2004 RX8 and I love it, but I've been thinking about replacing it with another car... ideally an RX9 would be awesome if they built it!

Now that Subaru (and Toytoa) released the BRZ, Mazda doesn't really have anything to compete anymore! Hunadai has the Genesis Coupe, but Mazda only has the Miata or Mazda 3, no true competitors.

It seems like an RX9 is completely out of the picture and will never be a reality. Has anyone heard any new news on this? Otherwise I might be buying the Subaru sometime soon :/ the Subaru seems like it'll handle as well or better than the RX8.

 

How about checking the General Automotive section, where every single rotary news rumor has it's own thread or five, and the rumor mill abounds. This is RX-8 Discussion subforum, and this thread does not belong here.

Short story: Nothing is certain except Mazda CEO has indicated that they are not giving up on the rotary and that there is a Sky-R planned.
