I've been down to PR a couple of times and seen some nice rotaries. A few of my old buddies from my 300Z (z32) days were from PR. They can get really creative down there with their cars.
And judging from the amount of PR owned rotaries at Moroso for the events down here, I'll say that the PRcans love the rotary.

As for Puertoricans and our love for rotaries, we are big on cars and the rotaries have a very big following.

I was talking to a guy from Puerto Rico who said that Mazda were very popular in Puerto Rico. He said the rotary engines in particular are popular because they are easy to maintain and last a long time. He said that you see lots of RX-7 and RX-3s still running and there are lots of specialty shops that specialize in rotary tuning.
Can anyone from Puerto Rico confirm this?

In Puerto Rico ,rotary engines are everywhere, they even put them in Toyotas. They are very popular and you see lots of rx7 and rx3 out there. Mazda is big in p.r.
