I have always hated vanity plates; just a philosophical problem that I have with this superficial, self-oriented society. But I have thought about a few interesting license plates that would be fun to have with the RX8. I won't divulge all my ideas, at least up front, but here are a few:

* HELOROTO (reference to the Motorola marketing campaign)
* NOCYL (for No Cylinders)
* 9000RPM
* MELIKEY (derogatory to Asians, but cute/funny nonetheless)

REVS2 9K - I LIKE! Wish I had seen that before. Others come to mind - MAX 9K, UP2 9K, SCREMN 9K, - I tried 9000 RPM but it was taken.

The picture of the RX-8 with YA RLY was my car...sadly the plate is on my Mazda6 now since I traded in the 8...got pulled over CONSTANTLY and gas was $$$$$ and i was about to have to drop $1000 on tires.

I can assure you I'm not a redneck, just an internet dork (have a "<3" tattoo, too).

People around here (north atlanta) ask me what it means, they usually say "yarrrrly" or "yearly."

 

my license plate is also evidence of my internet dorkdom. BRNIN8R, if you're a fan of strong bad you may get it. but most people have no idea what it means...shockingly 90% of sport bikers know what it means and remark on it.
