DO NOT let this degrade into some separation of C&S thread or in a religious thread. Take it for what it's worth, just some dude with a bitchin mobile glass toilet.

to me everyone has an (insertnamehere)mobile until they tint their rides jaja. Un-tinted cars to me look like fishbowls.

With the blue tinted windows it looks like a dunk tank. Who dunked the pope?

The local news had a segment on the popemobile, and said it was shipped from Vatican City. They also said if necessary it can go from 0-60 in 7 seconds, though I doubt they brought it to the strip to test it out.

mercedes probably did. i dont think i'd want to be up that high near open windows with no seat belt if that thing decides to go.

also, im thinking 4 spoke (cross, lol) 22" gold rims.

yes. gold. solid gold.

that'd be pimpin. he'd get a lot more recruits for his organization that way.

I believe the Popemobile came about after some nutball Muslim shot Pope JP II. But JP survived and went on to forgive the shooter who was and is still held at a prison somewhere.

I'll be in NYC tomorrow for work practically all day. The one thing i'm not looking forward to is 800 million people on the subway. They are also closing down roads on Madison Ave from the world trade center up to St. Pat's church where he'll do Mass I believe.

Though it would be bad *** to see the Pope Mobile on Volks. What better way to promote world peace than with a pair of Rays Forged wheels and red lugnuts.

EDIT: I'll try to get an rx8club.com bumper sticker on the car and take a pic

Well................that would be extremely interesting now wouldn't it!

Perverts would be in there jacking off at the ladies though.

Did I just use the term "jacking off" in a Pope thread?

I think the Pope is also less offensive than our President so if I had to choose who I would give the Popemobile to I would rather give it to the Pope.

I find it kind of sad that a pope (or any religious figure) would need that kind of protection.

And IIRC, wasn't it a Muslim Turk that shot JP II and that's why the popemobile got created?

Why should it be a german car maker instead of say something local like Ferrari that should be supplying the Popemobile? Pope Benny's country of origin not withstanding.

.50 BMG will go through both engine and cinder blocks. What makes you think anything is rated to stop it?

can water stop it?? I saw an episode of Mythbusters where no bullet penetrated the water enough to actually hit the target submerged in the water
