Is RX8 Titanium same as Miata Titanium?

Is RX8 Titanium same as Miata Titanium?
I spent some time at my Mazda dealer on Sunday, and there was a gorgeous Miata on the lot -- Titanium Gray with a dark blue top. Is this the same Titanium Gray as on the RX8? If so, then I'm *VERY* pleased with the color I chose!

I've heard that titanium was the same as a special edition Miata. So it could be the exact same color you saw.

If its the special edition Miata then the color should be similar. My understanding is the the special edition Miata is the only other car to have had the Titanium Grey Metalic color.

This was a Shinsen (sp?) edition. The color name was "Titanium Gray Metallic".

That would be the Shinsen special edition Miata, and yes, that's the same color. Congratulations, the Titanium is a very handsome color. If I was going for something more muted than the blue, it would be my choice.

Originally, the RX8 had the same paint code. When production started, they changed the paint code from 25G, which is the Miata and Mazdaspeed Protege to 29Y. I don't think they will be identical, but close.

I sure hope so! I have an '02 Ti SE Miata and my RX-8 order is for Titanium too.
