im trying to figure out the popularity of the 8 in a few years when their not made anymore .. would it attract theft?

i know it was happening with civic sis, intergas and others .. would the the 8 fit that profile?

 

from my limited knowledge... no... the reason why civics and integras are stolen so often is because their engines are basically interchangeable between the entire civic/integra line... so their parts are more valuable... rotaries aren't exactly everyone's cup of tea... of course that's not to say that 8's won't ever be stolen... i'm just saying, you most likely won't see it on a top10 list of most stolen vehicle...

like i said... limited knowledge... so if neone wants to correct feel free =)

well i was hoping they would be as my si really paid off but i think i agree with you, chai .. so much for great resale

i think they were stolen for parts .. and the 8 if crashed would probably leave parts behind so there should be plenty of parts out there .. and i cant see ppl trying to plug in the renesis into other shells
also looks like the production is gonna last good 5 years .. not a very limited model

 

How can people say if it is going to be stolen in the future??? Carry insurance on the car. If someone wants your car, I don't care where or what you use to protect it they will take it.
