i cant believe no one has mentioned to stay away from "universal fit" shitknobs. they really are ... shit.

the plastic cap broke up my shiftknob and rosenthal gave me a new one. (thanks guys.)

if i had to replace mine, i'd get the ms shiftknob. http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cat=283&page=2

Personally I dont want a round knob so that leaves options very hard...

Im considering either the veilside or Greddy knob
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=011
but Im also conteplating this ebay knob...not expensive at all but looks small and very nice.

what do you guys think? Do any of you have it?

Did I miss something...that first knob is only for a 5 speed!?

Jedi54 Feb 5, 2008 02:13 PM

I believe Europe has 5 speed

chrism Feb 5, 2008 02:24 PM

those knobs usually come with 2 discs as well now.....one for either set

You guys are seriously FOUL! I love it...

Does anyone know for sure if this knob http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cat=267&page=4 will fit MT's? It says for auto only, but I'm thinking the thread size is probably the same, just that it doesn't have the shift pattern... Or uh, shit spatter, just to stay on topic

zerobio Feb 5, 2008 03:35 PM

I like both of them but the first one better.

You should avoid the ones that attach with a set screw.

I had the this GReddy shitknob in my Eclipse. It was quite satisfying. Had the red insert to match my red exterior. You'll want to keep a knob sack handy though for the winter. It gets pretty cold. Crown Royal sack works great to keep it warm until you can get your hand on it.

zerobio: did you get the response I sent to you this morning? I got a PM back but it looked like the first one you sent me. :scratchhe

zerobio Feb 5, 2008 06:04 PM

^ Yeah, and I think I PM'd back. Did I? Start my training, I must.

Can someone pass the salt?

zerobio Feb 7, 2008 09:00 AM

Looks like a shotglass ... "You been drinking tonight?", "No sir".
Could that shatter and go in your eyes in a crash?

Jedi54 Feb 7, 2008 12:37 PM

not digging that clear / girly shifter AT ALL, sorry.

akward feeling? I have found the rotary shape to be a natural fit with my hand. Easy to down shift with the web of my index-middle finger, and easy to upshift with the web of my ring-pinky fingers!

I like the look of the carbon/aluminum MS, might have to look into that when I get an axial-flow.

JRichter Feb 7, 2008 02:30 PM

I'm still trying to figure out what that purple shit is in the bottom...

klepto Feb 7, 2008 02:36 PM

well it i ant for everyone i know this...

and like stated i purely bought it as a "SHOW PIECE"....

Im actually may be picking up a Greddy weighted shift knob for daily use.
