If you have to ask, you have to do more research.... I say rx8 and i bet most 7clubers would say so also.

And before you tell me that you've done the research before posting... I suggestion checking out what you posted.

I had an FD back in 2002... bought the car with 28k original miles and only paid $18.5k for it!! Drove my *** all the way to Deleware to pick it up.. It was a 93.. boy what a fun car that was!! I honestly can say that the FD was more fun to drive.. The 8 and the FD are tied in handling imo, but the FD was SOOOO much faster than the 8 which made it more fun to drive.. However, with all that said i still love my 8 mainly because of way more features and a better reputation in regards to reliability (most FD owners would admit the car is fragile). At least with the 8, u don't have to worry about red lining it..

Think about what your goals are carefully, and test drive BOTH.
sorry I meant turbo kit
a Greddy TUrbo kit, although I am not sure if its Street legal...

*edit* damnit also I forgot the black cherry is 05 only, the copper red was 06..

Get the 8. The FD is awesome I dailied my for 3 yrs no problems at all. The thing you don't realize on the FD is the squeeks and rattles. The pillow ball bushing need to be replaced every 50,000. I love the FDs more than any other car, bu there are things that need to be done. You are not giong to buy one jump in it and drive it everywhere w/ no problems. I replaced 2 set of turbos on my car in 3 yrs. Its just the nature of the beast. The only way to build an FD is single turbo IMO. The problem then is the power and cost associated w/ it. A 400whp FD is not something you would like to daily in less than perfect weather.

What am I telling you. The FD is a Toy the FE is a vehicle to daily. There is your answer.

i love the FD's but i would not really want one unless i had lots of money to spend on. I would also only get one if I had another much more reliable car as a daily driver/backup. Something like a little hatchback for practicality.

If you want something that is fine for a daily driver, costs massives amounts of money to make fast, and you enjoy filling it up all the time go RX8.

If you want something fast out of the box, making it faster is priced very well, and a little harsher of a ride go RX7.

I personally would go the route of the RX7, loved my 3rd gen, just couldnt find one in my area...

I agree with alot of what has been said about the FD. It all just depends on what you want to do with your daily driver? if you drive long distances everyday, through rain, snow, or whatever, I would not suggest getting a FD. You can still get an 8 with a warranty that is reliable, and most likely will not become a money pit. There are rx-7's out there though, not many, but they can be found, that have not been touched, completely stock, with low miles but you will be paying the same of not more for a 12-14 yr old car as you would a rx8 that is only a few years old with a warranty. I would def. go with the 8. I could not drive my FD daily, I have no a/c get about 10mpg in the city and between the roll cage and the seats it is extremly incomfortable, so of course the 7 is for the weekend and I have a different daily driver. I am contimplating changing my daily to a 8 as well though, sometimes I dont know what gets better MPG, my FD or my xterra
but good luck , they are both awesome cars!
